A highly structured and expansive fighting art, Bakbakan Kali has proven itself in both the sporting and combat arenas.  Adopting a logical and progressive approach to training, participants rapidly gain competence in a range of skills and learn to apply these skills readily within the sporting and combative contexts.

Bahad Zu’Bu


Bahad Zu’Bu is a situational, multi-distractive combat fighting art.  It seeks to restore the primitive and devastating fighting methods through the study of combat weapons and the history, culture and philosophy of the Philippine Archipelago.

The fundamental conceptual underpinnings of Bahad Zu’Bu are:

  • 100% Enganyo (baiting)
  • 100% Monitoring
  • 100% Preparation

 

These fundamental attributes are developed through the extensive use of two-man interactive drills, which include:

  • Counter Armed Tactics (CAT)
  • Counter Unarmed Tactics (CUT)

 

Categories of training include, but are not limited to:

  • Baraw / Pisaw (Knife)
  • Bio-Olisi (42” Staff)
  • Olisi (22”, 24”, 28” or 32” Stick)
  • Espada (Swords)

Unified Filipino Martial Arts


Unified Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) allows participants to gain knowledge, skills and experience in many generic aspects of the Filipino Martial Arts.  The focus is on developing strategies and an awareness that rapidly develops effective defensive and combative ability.

Tournament FMA


Specifically designed to support the needs of tournament focused participants, this unique system of training offers a highly structured approach to gaining skills within the Bakbakan International and Arnis Alliance rules for all aspiring champions.  The system is also applicable for those wishing to challenge their skills within the high-impact, minimal armour format.
